Based on the Communications and Information Technology Commission’s (CITC) role in enabling new technologies in the ICT field, the CITC works to enable Internet of Things (IoT) applications and use cases to make the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia a leading country in this field. In pursuit of these goals and others, the CITC is pleased to announce that it has published a Public Consultation document on the draft Regulatory Framework on Internet of Things (IoT) and the draft special conditions for class licenses Type (B) To provide Internet of Things (IoT) Services using License- exempt frequency, and invites all members of the public, including individuals, public organizations and commercial entities (together, the “Participants”) to participate in this process. Participants are invited to provide their views. CITC encourages Participants to support their comments with relevant data, analysis, benchmarking studies and information. CITC is under no obligation to adopt the comments of any Participant.
All views/comments shall be send to CITC no later than 21/03/2019 at 3:00 pm to one of the following addresses:

  • Hand-delivered (paper and electronic) at the CITC premises.
