​​​CITC announced that the third test for Amateur Radio wireless licenses for the year 1433H/2012G will be held on Wednesday 11 April 2012 at 9am in the main hall at the Ministry of Communications and Information Technology in Riyadh. Applicants will be able to take the test in either Arabic or English.

Two forms for the Amateur Radio license and a declaration should be filled out and attached with 2 photographs and a copy of the National Identity Card or Resident Card (Iqama). These documents should be sent to the following address:

Amateur radio service uses land wireless or satellite communications where individuals interested in radio technology use radio devices for the purpose of self-training, communication or technical research.
The licenses are divided into two categories: one allows amateurs to transmit and receive on all frequency bands allowed in the Kingdom; the other allows amateurs to receive on all frequency bands allowed for this service in the Kingdom as well as on the very high frequency (VHF) range.
