The Communications and Information Technology Commission invites all stakeholders to submit their input on the “Roadmap for 5.9 GHz for Vehicle to Everything Communications (V2X) in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia” document.
CITC aims to enable Vehicle-To-Everything (V2X) communications in the Kingdom, and the consultation responses will support CITC in planning the 5.9 GHz band to support V2X applications. In addition, the document provides the opportunity for industry experts to share their views on the different V2X technologies such as (DSRC/ITS-G5) or (C-V2X) and what topology they agree on. Furthermore, CITC is consulting on the regulatory aspects such as licensing procedures and eligibility requirements to access spectrum for V2X applications. Additionally, CITC is inviting interested stakeholders to conduct V2X trial in the Kingdom.
The public consultation on V2X aligns with CITC's “Spectrum Outlook for Commercial Innovative Use 2021-2023". Guided by the National Spectrum Strategy 2025, the Spectrum Outlook reaffirms our vision to 'unlock the potential of radiocommunications in Saudi Arabia for a smarter and safer future'.
