Commission Discusses Subscriber Service Mechanisms and Other Topics with Telecom Companies in the Second Consultative Meeting

Chaired by His Excellency the Governor of the Communications and Information Technology Commission, Eng. Abdullah bin Abdulaziz Al-Darrab, and attended by the heads of companies providing telecommunications and information technology services, the second consultative meeting bringing together the Commission and service-providing companies was held on Monday evening, 8 Ramadan 1432H, at the Commission's building, to discuss a number of topics related to developments and progress in the sector, and to overcome obstacles facing companies in providing the best services to subscribers. The meeting also discussed the number portability agreement signed by the heads of companies earlier at the beginning of last month, as well as companies' plans in broadband services. Also discussed was the proposal to form a working group concerned with setting up appropriate mechanisms for the swift resolution of subscriber complaints, and another group concerned with monitoring service quality and customer satisfaction in the Kingdom.

It should be noted that this consultative meeting is held periodically at the Commission's headquarters, chaired by the Governor of the Commission, and with the participation of the chief executives of companies operating in the market, with the aim of communication and consultation between the Commission and those companies, in a way that ensures the provision of the best services to subscribers.
