Space Data Regulations and Space Data Platform RFA

Public Consultations Goals

The Space Data Platform Regulations document aims to:
1. Fostering a comprehensive space ecosystem that contributes to the growth of the sector and achieving the required objectives,
2. Enabling startups in the space sector by providing the necessary space data,
3. Linking the activities of the space sector with various activities in other governmental and economic sectors,
4. Contribute to providing the needs of the various governmental and private sectors for products based on space data within organized and governed mechanisms with a high level of effectiveness and reliability.
Also the application document for obtaining a permit to "Provide a Space Data Platform Services” it comes as guidance and requirements list for applicants wishing to apply to CST to obtain a permit to “Provide a Space Data Platform Services in the Kingdom” and to carry out their work in accordance with what is stipulated in the space act and the document “Space Data Platform Regulations” and the rest of the relevant regulations of CST.

Public Consultations Description

CST intends to implement an initiative related to the establishment and operating of a digital platform to collect and process spatial data and develop products through it as detailed in the draft of the regulatory document. and in the pursuit of the CST to develop and elevate the space sector in the Kingdom, improve the necessary regulatory environment, enable the private sector to contribute to increasing the sector’s share of the gross domestic product and encourage startups to develop value-added products, CST has prepared an application document for obtaining a permit to "provide a Space Data Platform Services"
