The document enables service providers to conduct self-assessment for measuring the maturity of data governance and its practices through the nineteen sub-domains of data governance. This includes starting from data management vision and strategy to data ethics. The purpose of this document is to guide service providers by:• Providing examples of best practices related to data governance domains.• Calculating the degree of data governance maturity to gain an overview of the service provider's level.Identifying the sub-domains of data governance that require improvement
Based on the role of CST in regulating the Communications and Information Technology Sector; CST is working on a guideline about Data Governance Maturity for Telecom and Information Technology Service Providers with the aim of enabling service providers to raise the level of maturity in data governance practices. The framework is a self-assessment framework for service providers regulated by CST in order for them to improve their data governance practices and digital capabilities, as well as increasing their data protection standards and reducing data related risks. This framework contains a maturity assessment model which consists of nineteen subdomains, each with multiple levels of maturity defined and best practices explained for each sub-domain.
