As Part of National Capability Building: Digital Regulations Academy Holds Training Program on “Digital Regulation” in Cooperation with the ITU

The Digital Regulations Academy, affiliated with the Communications, Space and Technology Commission, held a training program on digital regulation, in cooperation with the International Telecommunication Union (ITU), with the aim of developing national talent, benefiting from global best practices and expertise, keeping pace with developments and future directions, and improving the effectiveness of the regulatory environment in the Kingdom.

The program's activities were held over five days with the participation of 42 trainees from various government regulatory entities in the Kingdom and the private sector, with the training program aiming to raise the ability to deal with digital regulatory environments, and conduct the necessary analyses and support decision-making in the field of digital regulations.

The program addressed an introduction to the principles of digital regulation, as well as the regulatory sandbox, the importance of data and its role in digital regulation, and enhancing knowledge of the challenges associated with it, in addition to the importance of creating the best methodologies for collaborative regulation.

This program comes as part of a package of programs offered by the Digital Regulations Academy in partnership with leading international institutions and organizations, and in cooperation with international experts and researchers, through which the Commission seeks to achieve its strategic targets in the sector and build specialized national capabilities in digital regulations to bridge the labor market's need for regulatory knowledge, achieve regulatory excellence and maturity, and accelerate the Kingdom's transformation into a digital economy.
