Under the Theme “Empowering Local Technology Products,” the Communications Commission to Hold the Digital Technology Forum Next October and Announces a Collaborative Innovation Award
The Communications and Information Technology Commission announced the holding of the “Digital Technology Forum” in its second edition, titled “Empowering Local Technology Products,” with the aim of highlighting and empowering local technology products, and reviewing developments in leading blockchain technology, to be held in Riyadh during the period 23-24 of next October.
The Commission explained that the forum, with the participation of a select group of local and international experts and specialists, will focus on two themes: “Empowering Local Technology Products” and “Blockchain Technology,” and speakers will discuss, through dialogue sessions, strategic directions for supporting and developing local technology products and their empowerment programs, in addition to reviewing blockchain use cases and adoption opportunities, and its most notable developments and updates.
The Commission affirmed that this year's edition of the forum addresses empowerment opportunities for local technology products, to meet their growth needs and address their challenges, stemming from its role in enabling digital technology and encouraging innovation and creativity in emerging technologies, as a contributing element to comprehensive development and one of the pillars of digital transformation to achieve Saudi Vision 2030.
The Commission noted that this year's edition of the forum will be accompanied by an exhibition of local technology products across various sectors, in addition to blockchain products, with the aim of introducing local technology products and their success stories, and stimulating local technology production.
The Commission also announced the Collaborative Innovation Award competitions to be presented at the forum for the best 4 innovative technology products developed in collaboration between the service provider and the end user, with the aim of empowering local technology products, supporting them for global competitions, in addition to encouraging innovative collaboration between service providers and end users.
