Data Consumption Volume Rises to 4.61 Thousand Terabytes in Makkah and the Holy Sites on the Seventh Day of Dhul Hijjah
The Communications, Space and Technology Commission revealed today the performance of telecommunications networks in Makkah and the holy sites for the seventh day of Dhul Hijjah 1444H, with data consumption volume reaching 4.61 thousand terabytes, equivalent to watching 1.89 million hours of video content at 1080p HD resolution.
The statistics issued by the Commission included the daily per-capita data consumption rate of (758 MB/subscriber), exceeding double the global per-capita consumption rate of 270 MB/subscriber, while the average mobile internet download speed reached 197.5 Mbps, and the average mobile internet upload speed reached 27.5 Mbps, confirming the robustness of the Kingdom's infrastructure and its readiness to keep pace with the aspirations of the guests of God, meet their technical needs, and facilitate their communication with their families during the performance of their rituals.
The statistics showed that the most data-consuming applications were TikTok, YouTube, Facebook, Snapchat, and Instagram.
