“Safe Internet” Awareness Campaign Launches Its Training Program for Teachers in Jeddah

The Communications and Information Technology Commission, in partnership with the Ministry of Education, launched today the third event of the second phase of the “Safe Internet” awareness campaign for protecting children from internet risks, at Al-Andalus National Schools in Jeddah Governorate, through holding a training workshop for more than 300 male and female teachers on how to protect children from internet risks, in addition to providing an introduction to cybercrime, how to avoid it, and the penalties involved.

It is worth noting that the Communications and Information Technology Commission launched the “Safe Internet” campaign in partnership with the Ministry of Education in three phases across the Kingdom, with the aim of raising students' awareness of how to obtain safe internet access, and qualifying a number of male and female teachers to serve as trainers and campaign ambassadors for their colleagues and students on how to achieve safe internet use.

It is noted that the second phase of this awareness campaign was launched the week before last in Riyadh and Dammam, through holding a training workshop for more than 200 male and female teachers in Riyadh, and more than 200 male and female teachers in Dammam.
