National Regulations Committee Holds Its Second Meeting
The National Regulations Committee held its second meeting chaired by the Communications and Information Technology Commission, with the attendance of committee members from the Saudi Central Bank, the Capital Market Commission, the Water and Electricity Regulatory Commission, the General Competition Commission, the General Transport Commission, the General Commission for Audiovisual Media, and the National Data and Artificial Intelligence Commission, as entities with a regulatory role in the digital sectors.
The Committee's meetings aim to ensure the highest level of coordination and enhance cooperation among regulatory entities, and alignment in regulating digital topics shared among the entities, through conducting studies to evaluate best practices, presenting proposals and recommendations, and launching initiatives for knowledge-sharing among the entities, in a manner that serves the interest of strengthening the digital regulatory environment across various vital sectors.
It should be noted that the National Regulations Committee was established pursuant to a decision of the National Digital Transformation Committee as a strategic step to provide an attractive and stimulating regulatory environment for various sectors, to enhance investment in the digital economy and accelerate digital transformation.
