League of Arab States Commends Efforts of Eng. Al-Mubaddel and Eng. Al-Qurashi in Strengthening Joint Arab Digital Work

The representative of the League of Arab States, during the meeting of the Arab Council of Ministers of Communications and Information, held today, Monday 23 January 2023, in Cairo, chaired by His Excellency Dr. Amr Talaat, commended the efforts of the Deputy Governor of the Communications, Space and Technology Commission for the Telecommunications Sector, Eng. Abdullah Al-Mubaddel, and the Director General of International Affairs, Eng. Mansour Al-Qurashi, in recognition of their leadership of Arab work within the International Telecommunication Union.

Eng. Abdullah Al-Mubaddel chaired the Arab Working Group for Preparing for the World Telecommunication Standardization Assembly, while Eng. Mansour Al-Qurashi chaired the Arab Working Group for Preparing for the World Telecommunication/ICT Policy Forum, as well as the Arab Working Group for Preparing for the World Telecommunication Development Conference. He also chairs the Arab Group on the ITU Council, and held the position of Vice-Chairman of the Arab Working Group for Preparing for the Plenipotentiary Conference.

It is noted that the Arab Council of Ministers of Communications and Information is held annually with the aim of coordinating and unifying the efforts of the Council's member states to achieve close cooperation among Arab countries and secure their interests in specialized international organizations.
