The Kingdom Achieves 5 Certificates of Excellence at the World Summit on the Information Society "WSIS 2023"
The Kingdom achieved five certificates of excellence at the World Summit on the Information Society "WSIS 2023," organized by the International Telecommunication Union and held in Geneva, Switzerland, in recognition of the excellence of its innovative projects, raising the total number of certificates of excellence obtained by the Kingdom to 35.
The Kingdom received certificates of excellence for the "Baladi Platform – Digital City Platform" project submitted by the Ministry of Municipal and Rural Affairs, the project to develop a smart indicator analysis system submitted by the Ministry of Environment, Water and Agriculture, the National Data Bank submitted by the Saudi Data and Artificial Intelligence Commission, as well as the innovative e-learning platform from the University of Hail, and the Hobka project submitted by the private sector
It is noted that the Kingdom won the WSIS 2023 Prize for the early warning system development project submitted by the Ministry of Environment, Water and Agriculture, as the Kingdom's projects represent strong competitiveness alongside global innovations participating from more than 109 countries.
This achievement reflects the standing of the communications sector at the international level and the level of development witnessed by the sector's infrastructure as a result of the continuous support it receives from the wise leadership, aimed at accelerating digital transformation projects and activating technology across various sectors, including government services, healthcare, education, and entertainment.
