Kingdom Receives Four Certificates of Excellence at WSIS 2022

The Kingdom received 4 certificates of excellence at the World Summit on the Information Society “WSIS 2022,” organized by the International Telecommunication Union and held in Geneva, Switzerland, under the theme “ICT for Well-being, Inclusiveness and Resilience,” in recognition of the excellence of its innovative projects, raising the total number of certificates of excellence received by the Kingdom to 30.

Certificates of excellence were awarded to the “Ekhtebar Platform” project submitted by the Ministry of Education in the Access to Information and Knowledge category, the “Digital Government Capability Development Program” submitted by the Digital Government Commission in the Capacity Building category, the “Cybersecurity Challenge” submitted by the National Cybersecurity Commission in the Building Confidence and Security in the Use of ICT category, and the “Business Development Support Center Project” submitted by Princess Nourah bint Abdulrahman University in the e-Science category.

The Kingdom's achievement of these certificates of excellence comes after intense competition with global projects, and their attainment reflects the standing of the telecommunications sector internationally and the level of development witnessed by the sector's infrastructure as a result of the continuous support it enjoys from the wise leadership, aimed at accelerating digital transformation projects and activating technology across various sectors, including government services, healthcare, education, and entertainment.
