Governor of the Communications and Information Technology Commission Participates in the Opening of the Sixth Saudi e-Health Conference

His Excellency Dr. Abdulaziz bin Salem Al-Ruwais, Governor of the Communications and Information Technology Commission, participated yesterday in the opening events of the Sixth Saudi e-Health Conference, held under the patronage of His Royal Highness Prince Muqrin bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, Honorary President of the Saudi Health Informatics Association, and organized by the Health Affairs at the Ministry of National Guard, King Saud bin Abdulaziz University for Health Sciences, and the Saudi Scientific Society for Health Informatics.

The Saudi e-Health Conference aims to achieve a number of objectives, including raising awareness of the importance of health information technology, highlighting its effective role in improving performance efficiency, alongside improving the quality of healthcare services and the optimal use of resources in health sectors, exploring the latest trends and technologies in e-health, and providing an opportunity to exchange information and expertise and review experiences and success stories in the field of information technology and electronic health services. It is also an opportunity for specialists and interested parties to participate and exchange research and results, and to encourage discussion on how to provide healthcare and full, effective support and spread the culture of e-health, and to benefit from the latest developments in renewable information and communications technology and security in this field, in addition to establishing a shared understanding of various electronic challenges, including advanced technological and electronic security methods and technologies, as well as cloud computing.

It is worth noting that the Communications and Information Technology Commission is participating in the conference with a working paper titled "Cloud Computing Regulations," in which it highlights the importance of regulating cloud computing in the Kingdom, what the Communications and Information Technology Commission has done in this regard, and the relationship between cloud computing and the health sector.
