Governor of the Communications and Information Technology Commission Offers Condolences to the Leadership and People on the Passing of Prince Sultan bin Abdulaziz

His Excellency Engineer Abdullah bin Abdulaziz Al-Darrab, Governor of the Communications and Information Technology Commission, extended, on his own behalf and on behalf of the Commission's staff, his sincere condolences and heartfelt sympathy to the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King

Abdullah bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, and His Royal Highness Prince Nayef bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, Second Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior – may God preserve them both – and to the dear royal family and the Saudi people, on the passing of His Royal Highness Prince Sultan bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, Crown Prince, Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Defense and Aviation and Inspector General – may God have mercy on him.

He said: "At such moments when sorrow envelops the nation and its people over the loss of the leader and humanitarian Prince Sultan bin Abdulaziz, we can only turn to God – Glorified and Exalted – in prayer, seeking forgiveness for the nation's departed, who throughout his life and career carried the banner of giving and generosity for the nation and its people, a leader and pioneer of charitable initiatives, and an important actor in international politics."

He added: "The Arab and Islamic nations have been afflicted by the loss of a great humanitarian figure who was, after God, a refuge and shelter for the weak and needy in many parts of the world. The deeds of the departed will, God willing, remain a testament to the good works he offered his nation, his people, and his community, which history will record and generations will recount."

He prayed to God, Glorified and Exalted, to preserve for our beloved country the blessing of security and safety under our wise leadership, and to protect for us the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques and grant him health and wellbeing, and to grant assistance and success to His Highness the Second Deputy Prime Minister and all members of the royal family in the service of the religion and the nation. May God grant Prince Sultan bin Abdulaziz abundant mercy, and admit him to His spacious Paradise, and "Indeed we belong to God, and indeed to Him we return."
