Governor of the Communications and Information Technology Commission Congratulates His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Abdulaziz on His Selection as Crown Prince and Congratulates His Royal Highness Prince Ahmed bin Abdulaziz on His Appointment as Minister of Interior

His Excellency Engineer Abdullah bin Abdulaziz Al-Darrab, Governor of the Communications and Information Technology Commission, extended, on his own behalf and on behalf of the Commission's staff, congratulations to His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Abdulaziz on the occasion of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz's – may God preserve him – selection of His Highness as Crown Prince, and his appointment as Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Defense.

His Excellency said: "The selection of His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Abdulaziz as Crown Prince has achieved its purpose, as it is the selection of an exceptional national figure with a record full of achievements and successes in leadership and nation-building, and dedication in serving the nation and its people."

In every position he has held in the service of his country, Prince Salman has left a legacy of achievements and successes that have made him one of the most important builders of this nation, and one of those who have dedicated themselves to advancing the path of construction and development. His Highness's efforts have spanned a wide range, including the development of the nation and its institutions, care for citizens and their needs, and generosity and giving on both the humanitarian and charitable fronts. This selection came as a crowning of this fragrant journey, through which good deeds are affirmed and bear fruit.

His Excellency the Governor also extended, on his own behalf and on behalf of the Commission's staff, congratulations to His Royal Highness Prince Ahmed bin Abdulaziz on the occasion of his appointment as Minister of Interior, saying that His Highness Prince Ahmed is a worthy successor to a worthy predecessor, as his long experience and the successes His Highness achieved throughout his career, through holding a number of positions in service of the nation, and crowning them with his tangible efforts in supporting his late brother Prince Nayef – may God have mercy on him – in shouldering the responsibility for the security and safety of this country and its people, was the greatest evidence that he is the best successor to the late prince in his noble duties.

His Excellency prayed to Almighty God to guide the steps of His Highness the Crown Prince and His Highness the Minister of Interior, and to grant them assistance and success to continue their good path in serving the religion, the King, and the nation, and to protect the leader of this path, the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz, praying to God to preserve for this nation and its people the blessing of security, stability, and prosperity.
