Digital Regulations Academy Holds Training Program in Cooperation with the Regulatory Policy Institute in the United Kingdom
The Digital Regulations Academy, affiliated with the Communications, Space and Technology Commission, held an intensive training program for government and private entities titled "Regulation Fundamentals," in cooperation with the Regulatory Policy Institute in the United Kingdom, with the aim of highlighting the principles of regulation and its economic and social objectives and drivers, giving a comprehensive overview of regulation in general.
During the program, the mechanism for setting regulations, policies, and bylaws was discussed, along with highlighting a broad perspective on the fundamentals of regulatory practices across multiple sectors, with a focus on digital regulations given their impact on the digital economy. The program also highlighted the most prominent challenges facing regulators around the world, how to address them, and the lessons learned that could be applied in the Kingdom, with the attendance of 70 regulatory specialists from government entities and telecommunications service providers over 4 consecutive days.
This program comes in cooperation with the Regulatory Policy Institute (RPI) in the United Kingdom, as a step toward alignment and integration between the Academy and international institutes through its strategic partnerships, to benefit from the best global practices and expertise in the field to keep pace with future developments and trends, and to improve the effectiveness of regulatory environments in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
It is noted that the "Regulation Fundamentals" program is one of the programs offered by the Digital Regulations Academy in cooperation with leading international institutions and organizations, through which the Commission seeks to achieve its strategic objectives in the sector, by advancing communications and technology services and enabling the Kingdom's transformation into a digital society.
