To Enable Parents to Supervise Children's Internet Access, the Communications Commission Renews Its Call for Public Comments on Parental Control Service

The Communications and Information Technology Commission today renewed its call for individuals and institutions to submit comments on the regulatory framework for the parental control service, which enables parents to supervise their children's internet access, in order to contribute to protecting children from some internet risks.

The Commission said that this service targets parents and educational and pedagogical institutions by providing tools that enable children to use the internet safely and beneficially, thereby promoting positive use and limiting negative uses.

This comes from the Commission's belief in the importance of involving parents, specialists, educational and pedagogical institutions, and relevant service providers in preparing the regulatory framework for the parental control service, in order to contribute to developing this framework and achieving its positive results in providing a safer internet environment.

It is worth noting that the Commission has designated an email address

to receive comments and observations no later than 26/02/1439H, corresponding to 15/11/2017, at 3:00 p.m.
