Governor of the Communications Commission: The Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques' Speech Is an Important Document That History Will Preserve

Following the comprehensive speech delivered by the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz – may God preserve him – under the dome of the Shura Council today, Wednesday 25/3/1439H, His Excellency Dr. Abdulaziz bin Salem Al-Ruwais, Governor of the Communications and Information Technology Commission, said:

The Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz – may God preserve him – spoke in his address about the most important issues that his loyal people look forward to hearing from him. His speech was comprehensive, thorough and complete, covering all aspects that matter to Saudi citizens regarding their state, whether concerning its domestic policy, regional role, or international influence. Every citizen of this country who heard it came away confident and reassured, further to the confidence and reassurance they already had in their great nation, and with pride and honor in its strong government, which has amazed the world with its wisdom, strength, foresight, sound judgment, precise vision of the future, and boldness in its strategic decisions.

His Excellency Dr. Abdulaziz bin Salem Al-Ruwais continued, saying:

The speech of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques – may God support him – can be described as an important document that history will preserve, being a lofty statement of the Kingdom's present state today and the developmental shifts it is witnessing on all internal and external, economic and political fronts, and the major transformations it is experiencing, driven by sincere thought, a living conscience, a believing heart, and a soul that senses its pivotal role at an important stage in the nation's history — indeed, a sensitive and critical stage requiring a bold, inspired leader characterized by experience, wisdom, boldness, and courage in decision-making. This stage found its exceptional leader in the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz – may God support him – who has taken the reins of the state on a path that has amazed the world, and strengthened its great standing through the major decisions he has taken in the interest of the state, its economy, and its growth at both the domestic and international levels.

His Excellency Dr. Abdulaziz bin Salem Al-Ruwais added that the speech of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques – may God preserve him – came as a vessel carrying the most important developmental shifts the nation is experiencing in this glorious era. It is a speech for history, a speech for a pivotal stage in the nation's history, a speech in which generations will see the scale of the leap the nation has made in a period not exceeding three years — a stage for which God ordained a leader with the great capabilities required by its sensitivity and gravity.

Regarding the most prominent content of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques' speech under the dome of the Shura Council, His Excellency Dr. Abdulaziz bin Salem Al-Ruwais said: On the economic front, the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques – may God preserve him – affirmed that current development remains committed to the nation's constants while adhering to moderation and balance, and that the most prominent features of this development are embodied in the Kingdom's bold and ambitious Vision 2030, which aims to diversify the economy, invest the nation's wealth, localize industry, reduce imports, provide job opportunities, and encourage domestic and foreign investment, while affirming the role of the private sector and the importance of supporting it during this transitional phase. In addition, the Kingdom's government announced this year major exceptional projects — Qiddiya, the Red Sea, and NEOM — which will have the greatest impact in attracting investment and providing job opportunities. Alongside this, the speech of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques – may God preserve him – included important references to the Kingdom's foreign policy, through which he – may God preserve him – reinforced citizens' confidence in their state by affirming its regional weight, global role, international respect, and tangible influence in major decisions affecting the entire world. Indeed, it has succeeded where no one has succeeded before by hosting three major summits in just two days in the city of Riyadh, its influential membership in the G20, and the arrival of the world's greatest leaders to it. All this and more proves that our state holds the greatest standing and influence in world affairs and policies, and that it is the focus of attention of the greatest countries and leaders — a matter that calls for pride and honor in our strong leadership, which has given our country this great and influential standing.

His Excellency Dr. Abdulaziz bin Salem Al-Ruwais noted that the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques – may God support him – did not neglect to affirm the issue of terrorism, referring to the Kingdom's great role in combating this scourge through establishing the Islamic Military Counter Terrorism Coalition and creating a global center for combating extremist ideology. The Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques – may God preserve him – was also keen to affirm the Kingdom's commitment to its role in serving and defending the causes of Muslims around the world, and accordingly took a bold and clear stance denouncing the American President's decision a few days earlier regarding Jerusalem, affirming that Jerusalem is the capital of the State of Palestine. The Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques – may God support him – also affirmed in this context that the Kingdom is concerned with every matter relating to Muslims, especially those facing hardship and disasters, and accordingly the Kingdom established, in confirmation of its commitment to this principle, the King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center.

At the conclusion of his remarks, His Excellency Dr. Abdulaziz bin Salem Al-Ruwais prayed to God to protect the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz, to strengthen him through his trusted Crown Prince His Royal Highness Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz, to preserve the security and stability of our nation, and to grant our government ever greater glory, strength, and support.
