Governor of the Communications Commission Affirms the Importance of Public-Private Sector Partnership in Developing Human Capital Skills

His Excellency Dr. Abdulaziz bin Salem Al-Ruwais, Governor of the Communications and Information Technology Commission, noted today that the National Transformation Program 2020 includes strategic objectives related to the communications and information technology sector, most notably developing the infrastructure of the communications, information technology and broadband sector, innovation in advanced technologies, investment in the digital economy and national human capital, building an effective generation capable of using the latest technologies, and establishing a knowledge-based economy consistent with Saudi Vision 2030, through partnership between the government and private sectors.

His Excellency Dr. Al-Ruwais affirmed the importance of the participation of the public and private sectors in achieving the sector's strategic objectives, as well as building a generation capable of using the latest technologies and innovating in advanced technologies, and contributing to developing the sector's workforce, noting Huawei's cooperation in this field, as the Commission and the Technical and Vocational Training Corporation have established partnerships with it to implement initiatives for developing the skills of national human capital in the communications and information technology sector.

This came during the ceremony announcing the winners of the Huawei ICT Skills Competition for university and technical college students in the Kingdom, presented by Huawei to Saudi society under the supervision of the Communications and Information Technology Commission and the Technical and Vocational Training Corporation, with the aim of enhancing the advanced skills and expertise needed to lead the workforce, transferring expertise, raising competencies and skills, and exchanging knowledge.
