Suspension of the Viber Application in the Kingdom

With reference to the statement issued by the Commission on 19/05/1434H regarding notifying licensed service providers of the need to work with the companies developing certain Voice over Internet Protocol (VoIP) communications applications in the Kingdom to expedite the fulfilment of the required regulatory requirements. Given that the Viber application, in its current state, does not meet the regulatory requirements and regulations in force in the Kingdom, the application has been suspended effective 26 Rajab 1434H. The Commission confirms that it will take the appropriate action regarding any other applications or services in the event of failure to meet the regulatory requirements and regulations in force in the Kingdom.
