Specialized Training Workshops Held by the Communications and Information Technology Commission on the Sidelines of the IPv6 Workshop

Yesterday, Saturday 4/6/1432H, specialized training workshops on Internet Protocol version 6 (IPv6) began, organized by the Communications and Information Technology Commission in cooperation with RIPE NCC and the Middle East Network Operators Group (MENOG). The workshops will run for three days ahead of the workshop on Internet Protocol version 6 (IPv6), to be held on Tuesday, May 10, 2011, from 8:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. in the Ibn Turki Hall at the Sheraton Hotel in Riyadh.

A number of personnel from the public and private sectors are participating in these training workshops, including internet service providers, banks, and other entities, to learn about and train on how Internet Protocol version 6 (IPv6) works.

It is worth noting that, following the conclusion of these training workshops, a group of experts and speakers from inside and outside the Kingdom will meet next Tuesday during the IPv6 workshop to present a number of working papers and exchange views, experiences, and expertise.
