Signing of a Cooperation Memorandum Between the "Communications Commission" and Prince Sultan Center for Defense Studies and Research

The Communications and Information Technology Commission signed a joint cooperation memorandum with Prince Sultan Center for Defense Studies and Research to exchange expertise in the field of spectrum use and management.

The Commission was represented in the signing by His Excellency Dr. Mohammed Al-Otaibi, Deputy Governor for the Spectrum Sector, while the Center was represented by Dr. Sami Al-Humaidi, Acting Director General of Prince Sultan Center for Defense Studies and Research, in the presence of His Excellency Dr. Mohammed bin Saud Al-Tamimi, Governor of the Communications and Information Technology Commission.

The memorandum includes cooperation between the two parties in conducting research and studies in the field of wireless applications to achieve optimal use of the spectrum resource, and supporting national efforts in this direction, in addition to adopting the latest wireless applications in the Kingdom, along with both parties working to develop human capabilities, exchange mutual expertise in the field of spectrum use, and cooperate in meeting the future needs of wireless systems.

It is worth noting that Prince Sultan Center for Defense Studies and Research is a government institution specialized in conducting specialized studies and research related to defense systems and technologies, and aims to strengthen and support the Kingdom's defense and security directions by conducting and developing specialized and technical research related to defense, security and strategic fields, in addition to establishing advanced laboratories and developing technical innovations for defense- and security-related products.
