Sheikh Maktoum bin Mohammed bin Rashid Visits the Kingdom's Pavilion at GITEX in Dubai

Today, Sunday, October 14, 2012, His Highness Sheikh Maktoum bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Deputy Ruler of Dubai, inaugurated GITEX at the Dubai World Trade Centre. During his tour of the exhibition, accompanied by Dr. Hamadoun Touré, Secretary-General of the International Telecommunication Union, he visited the Kingdom's pavilion at the exhibition, in which the Ministry of Communications and Information Technology, the Communications and Information Technology Commission, Saudi Telecom Company, Etihad Etisalat Company (Mobily), Saudi Mobile Telecommunications Company (Zain), and Etihad Atheeb Telecom Company all participated. His Excellency the Governor of the Communications and Information Technology Commission and senior officials from the telecommunications companies received them. Everyone praised the Kingdom's pavilion.

The Kingdom's participation in this important global event is a continuation of the efforts made by the participating entities to showcase the progress made by the communications sector in the Kingdom in all regulatory fields and in the infrastructure of communications and information technology services. It is worth noting that GITEX, held annually, is one of the most prominent specialized forums for information and communications technology in the world, bringing together stakeholders from around the world to communicate and cooperate in shaping the future of this sector.
