Makkah Region Schools Welcome "Safe Internet"

This week, schools in the Makkah region hosted the activities of the third phase of the "Safe Internet" awareness campaign to protect children from the risks of the internet, launched by the Communications and Information Technology Commission in cooperation with the Ministry of Education. This phase's activities included holding traveling exhibitions in a number of boys' and girls' schools, which featured interactive traveling awareness exhibitions, awareness lectures, and presentations on how to use the internet safely. These activities are a continuation of what the Commission carried out over the past two weeks in a number of schools in the Riyadh region and the Eastern Province as part of the campaign's phases.

It is worth noting that the Communications and Information Technology Commission, in cooperation with the Ministry of Education, launched the "Safe Internet" campaign in three phases across the Kingdom, with the aim of raising students' awareness of internet use, and training a number of male and female teachers to become trainers and campaign ambassadors for their colleagues and students on the safe use of the internet.
