Saudi Scouts Partner with the Communications and Information Technology Commission to Measure Internet Experience Quality During Hajj Season
The Communications and Information Technology Commission has entered into a partnership with the Saudi Arabian Boy Scouts Association, under which more than (300 scouts) from the association's members will conduct speed and performance measurement tests for internet service in the Holy Sites via the "Miqyas" application on smart devices, during this year's Hajj season, with the scouts conducting the measurements through the "Miqyas" application.
This partnership aims to monitor the quality of the internet usage experience in the Holy Sites, identify possible improvements to the communications network, and enhance the communications services provided to the guests of the Most Merciful.
It is worth noting that the Miqyas initiative is a national platform for measuring the overall quality level of internet service in the Kingdom, based on a partnership between the Commission and the general public of users, through which users are provided with information about the quality of the internet experience provided to them with a high degree of transparency and reliability, in cooperation with SamKnows, a company specialized in measuring internet performance quality.
