Communications and Information Technology Commission Participates in the 2015 Saudi-Russian Business and Investment Forum

The Communications and Information Technology Commission is participating in the 2015 Saudi-Russian Business and Investment Forum, whose activities begin today in the Russian capital, Moscow, organized by the Investment Commission in partnership with the Council of Saudi Chambers and the Russian-Arab Business Council, under the slogan "Friendship - Partnership - Opportunities." The Commission emphasized the importance of participating in such economic events to promote the Kingdom's growing communications sector and market the opportunities available within it. The forum will include a workshop on information security, as well as other workshops in the fields of transportation, infrastructure development, road construction, bridge building, and Saudi-Russian cooperation in mineral extraction, food security, and investment in agriculture, and cooperation in the oil and gas sector. The forum will also review the mechanism for the participation of Russian companies in the supply chains of major companies and the possibility of localizing the manufacture of spare parts and equipment in the Kingdom, and discuss cooperation in mechanical engineering, as well as various workshops in the fields of manufacturing industries and petrochemicals, nanotechnology and advanced technologies, cooperation in tourism, housing and real estate development, and cooperation in medical care and pharmacy, in addition to a workshop on electricity generation, renewable energy, water resources, and desalination technologies.
