"Safe Internet" in Eastern Province Schools

Yesterday, the Communications and Information Technology Commission, in cooperation with the Ministry of Education, launched the third phase of the awareness campaign to protect children from the risks of the internet, "Safe Internet," in schools of the Eastern Province, through traveling exhibitions in a number of boys' and girls' schools. These exhibitions included awareness lectures and presentations on how to use the internet safely. These awareness exhibitions are a continuation of what the Commission carried out last week in schools of the Riyadh region as part of the campaign's phases, noting that the next stop for these traveling awareness exhibitions will, God willing, be in schools of the Makkah region.

It is worth noting that the Communications and Information Technology Commission, in cooperation with the Ministry of Education, launched the "Safe Internet" campaign in three phases across the Kingdom, with the aim of raising students' awareness of internet use, and training a number of male and female teachers to become trainers and campaign ambassadors for their colleagues and students on how to achieve safe internet use. It is also worth noting that the first and second phases of this awareness campaign fully and successfully achieved all their objectives.
