"Safe Internet" Launches Its Second Phase Today from the Eastern Province

Today, the Communications and Information Technology Commission, in partnership with the Ministry of Education, launched the second activity of the second phase of the awareness campaign to protect children from the risks of the internet, "Safe Internet," at the Eastern Province Chamber in Dammam, through a training workshop for more than 200 male and female teachers on how to protect children from the risks of the internet, in addition to providing an overview of cybercrime, how to avoid it, and the associated penalties.

It is worth noting that the Communications and Information Technology Commission launched the "Safe Internet" campaign in partnership with the Ministry of Education in three phases across the Kingdom, with the aim of raising students' awareness of how to achieve safe internet use, and training a number of male and female teachers to become trainers and campaign ambassadors for their colleagues and students on how to achieve safe internet use.

It is worth noting that the second phase of this awareness campaign was launched last week in Riyadh through a training workshop for more than 200 teachers in Riyadh, and this phase will conclude in the Makkah region next week.
