Governor of Al-Baha Region Reviews Broadband Deployment Projects in the Region

His Excellency Dr. Abdulaziz bin Salem Al-Ruwais, Governor of the Communications and Information Technology Commission, met at his office today with His Royal Highness Prince Dr. Hussam bin Saud bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, Governor of Al-Baha Region.

His Highness was briefed on the National Transformation Program 2020 initiatives concerning the deployment of broadband services in urban and remote areas of Al-Baha Region through fiber optic network deployment projects in urban areas, and high-speed wireless broadband networks in remote areas. There was also discussion of developing communications and internet services in the region and its affiliated governorates in a way that meets citizens' requirements, with His Highness extending his thanks and support to the Communications and Information Technology Commission in implementing the National Transformation Program 2020 initiatives specific to the region.

It is noted that broadband deployment initiatives in urban and remote areas are one of the National Transformation Program 2020 programs aimed at providing broadband services to all regions of the Kingdom.
