Postponement of the Application Deadline for Obtaining a License to Provide Digital Certification Services

Further to the Commission's announcement issued on 23/05/1437H corresponding to 03/03/2016 regarding the publication of the application document for obtaining a license to provide digital certification services, the Commission would like to inform the public and concerned parties that the deadline for submitting the license application has been postponed at the request of some interested parties.

The Commission has set the final deadline for receiving applications for obtaining a license to provide digital certification services as Tuesday 21/10/1437H corresponding to 26/07/2016, before two thirty in the afternoon local time.

The Commission invited interested parties to view the application document for (a license to provide digital certification services) via its website www.cst.gov.sa

The Commission stated that this license comes as part of its efforts to support and encourage electronic transaction services; to enhance e-commerce and e-government, and enable those transacting via the internet to conduct their electronic transactions with complete confidentiality and reliability.
