On the Sidelines of the Plenipotentiary Conference in Romania.. CITC Signs Memorandum of Understanding with Brazil's National Telecommunications Agency

The Communications and Information Technology Commission signed a memorandum of understanding with the National Telecommunications Agency of the Federative Republic of Brazil on the sidelines of the International Telecommunication Union's Plenipotentiary Conference currently held in Romania, aiming to develop joint cooperation in the field of communications and information technology and achieve economic and social development.

The Commission was represented in signing the memorandum by His Excellency the Governor of the Communications and Information Technology Commission, Dr. Mohammed bin Saud Al-Tamimi, while the Brazilian side was represented by the President of the National Telecommunications Agency, Mr. Carlos Manuel Baigorri.

The memorandum stipulated enhancing cooperation between the two sides in the communications and information technology sector in a number of areas, including infrastructure development, frequency spectrum management, coordination and monitoring, and emerging technologies such as internet of things and 5G technology, and other promising areas in the sector.

The memorandum of understanding comes as an extension of the Commission's efforts to enhance joint international cooperation to develop the communications and information technology sectors, and accelerate the growth of the digital economy, and support the sustainable development goals to ensure a sustainable digital future for all.
