On the Sidelines of the Annual Forum, CITC Launches Communications and Information Technology Indicators Platform

The Communications and Information Technology Commission launched the communications and information technology indicators platform, aiming to facilitate public access to its sectors' data with transparency and reliability, on the sidelines of the Indicators Forum 2022 held in the main hall of the King Abdullah Financial Center in Riyadh.

The Commission explained that the platform allows the public to access and view many indicators of the communications and information technology sector, based on the Commission's reliable and continuously updated information and data bases, which will contribute to enhancing knowledge of its services, market size, and many vital indicators of its various fields.

The Commission noted that the platform will enable the public to know the latest data related to its various sectors, such as gaming performance indicators in the Kingdom "GAMEMODE," as well as Meqyas data, communications market performance indicators, and other indicators that will be updated periodically by the specialized sectors at the Commission.

The Commission affirmed that the launch of the platform comes in realization of the principle of transparency and data reliability, and to enhance competitiveness and investment in the communications and information technology sector in the Kingdom, as the platform includes open historical indicators and data about the sectors, as well as interactive dashboards for visitors to the Commission's website.

It is noted that the annual Communications and Information Technology Indicators Forum focused in its work on the digital economy, being one of the pivotal elements in shaping the future in the Kingdom and the entire world, and also addressed leading best practices and future trends for the communications and information technology sector, through its dialogue sessions which witnessed high-level attendance from ministers and leaders of major communications and information technology companies in the Kingdom, in addition to international experts and specialists in the communications and information technology sector.
