Saudi Arabia Won a Prize and 5 Certificates of Excellence at WSIS

Saudi Arabia won a prize and 5 Certificates of Excellence at the World Summit on the Information Society (WSIS), organized by the International Telecommunication Union (ITU) in partnership with several United Nations organizations and held in Geneva, Switzerland. The recognition was awarded in acknowledgment of the Kingdom’s outstanding innovative projects, which competed alongside submissions from more than 194 countries.

Represented by Qassim University, Saudi Arabia received the WSIS Prize in the  E-Learning category for the “Qspark” The Spark of Intelligent E-Learning —an AI-powered smart learning platform that delivers adaptive and interactive learning experiences. The platform offers personalized learning pathways while enabling faculty members to monitor student performance and enhance educational content through advanced analytics.

Saudi Arabia also received five WSIS Certificates for the National Open Data Platform and the National Artificial Intelligence Index, submitted by the Saudi Data and AI Authority (SDAIA); Ajeer Platform and the Smart Labor Market Oversight Model, submitted by the Ministry of Human Resources and Social Development; and Trilingual AI and Data Terms Glossary, submitted by the International Center for AI Research & Ethics (ICAIRE).

These achievements reflect Saudi Arabia’s continued progress in advancing its digital infrastructure for the ICT sector, accelerating the adoption of AI technologies, and empowering national talent and capabilities. This also demonstrates Saudi Arabia’s commitment to keeping pace with rapid global developments across government services, healthcare, education, and entertainment, supported by the unwavering backing of its wise leadership
