Saudi Arabia Participates in WSIS and AI for Good Global Summit in Geneva

Saudi Arabia participates in the World Summit on the Information Society (WSIS), and the AI for Good Global Summit, held in Geneva in Switzerland, reaffirming its commitment in supporting the objectives of the International Telecommunication Union (ITU), strengthening the ITU role in building inclusive and sustainable digital societies, and developing international digital collaboration.

The Saudi delegation will participate in several key activities, including showcasing the success of the global initiative to develop “E-Waste Management Regulations” in 3 countries, hosting a panel discussion to highlight its journey in building a comprehensive AI ecosystem; as well as taking part in the session entitled “Green Digital Action: The road between COP30 to COP31”. The participation will witness the announcement of winning Saudi projects of WSIS prizes and Certificates of Excellence, in recognition of their outstanding innovation after competing against projects from more than 190 countries.

Saudi Arabia's participation reflects its continuous support to international organizations and reinforces its role as a global partner in advancing digital policies and regulatory frameworks, building human capacity, and promoting knowledge transfer. Through high-impact initiatives, the Kingdom continues to enable talent, facilitate the exchange of best practices, and accelerate the adoption of AI and emerging technologies in promote of global sustainability and circular economy.
