20250519510The Communications, Space, and Technology Commission (CST) has issued its Q4 2025 GameMode report, evaluating the performance quality of telecom service providers in the Kingdom across leading online games.
The findings reveal a 57% improvement in overall performance compared to Q4 2024.
The report includes the results of download speed performance for online games across different gaming platforms in the Kingdom.
It showed that Mobily and STC achieved a full 100% download speed rating on STEAM, Mobily topped the XBOX platform with 97%, while Mobily and Salam led on the PlayStation platform with 98%.
The report also revealed that STC and Mobily led the rankings for best response time in 11 games: Call of Duty, Battlefield, eFootball, Marvel Rivals, Fortnite, EA Sports FC, Counter Strike, OverWatch, Rocket League, Dota 2, Valorant.
On the other hand, Mobily ranked first in 4 games: PUBG, StarCraft 2, Free Fire, PUBG Mobile, while STC ranked first in 3 games: League of Legends,Teamfight Tactics, Call of Duty Mobile.
Mobily and Salam led in Honor of Kings, and STC and Salam shared the top spot in Rainbow Six Siege.
In Mobile Legends Mobily, STC, Salam, and Zain were tied.
The report also revealed that STC earned the Platinum Game Operator award for the second half of 2025, after ranking highest across key evaluation standards, which include enhancing the gaming experience, offering cloud gaming platforms, supporting gaming bundles, hosting services locally, and fostering the gaming community.
In addition, the report shared practical guidelines to help improve internet quality for online gaming, including tips for securing home networks and ensuring the efficiency of connected devices.
It also explained how users can play an active role in the GameMode initiative by registering for the “Meqyas” FTTH Internet Device, which enables them to track their internet performance, including the quality of leading apps and games.
The report is updated quarterly to reflect the latest trending games and their performance metrics, while also showcasing telecom providers’ contributions to supporting the gaming community.
The “GameMode” initiative is part of CST’s efforts to enhance competition among telecom service providers, deliver an optimal gaming experience, increase market transparency by publishing performance data and indicators, and provide investors and stakeholders with valuable insights into market performance in the Kingdom.
