CST Announced the Success of its Operational Plan for Ramadan 2026
The Communications, Space, and Technology Commission (CST) announced the success of its operational plan during Ramadan 2026.
This success is due to the unlimited support and collaborative efforts between various government and private sectors concerned with serving worshipers.
CST revealed the performance indicators of communication networks in Makkah and Medina during the period from (1 - 27 Ramadan), where the mobile internet speed was 234 Mbps in Makkah, which increased by 19% from last year’s speed for the same period, while the speed exceeded 318 Mbps in Madinah, an increase from last year by 17%.
The average daily per capita data consumption stood at 1297 Mb in Makkah, around the global average by 3 times, while the per capita consumption in Madinah was 1828 Mb, exceeding 3 times the global average.
The indicators also showed that the number of local calls in Makkah exceeded 378 Million calls, and the international calls were more than 44 Million calls.
Meanwhile, local calls in Madinah surpassed 238 Million calls, and 22 Million international calls.
