20250519510The Communications, Space, and Technology Commission (CST) has issued the “Regulations for Establishing and Providing Telecommunications Services in Real Estate” document, which outlines the requirements that property owners—or their representatives—must follow to deliver telecom services within their properties, in accordance with the telecommunications standards set by the Saudi Building Code. The regulations aim to promote the early establishment of telecommunications infrastructure, helping to reduce the costs of service implementation, while improving the quality of telecom services within properties.
These regulations target a wide range of stakeholders, including land developers involved in residential projects and suburbs, developers of buildings and facilities such as universities, airports, stadiums, hospitals, and hotels, in addition to developers of major national projects in tourism, economic, and entertainment sectors, as well as telecommunications and IT service providers.
The issuance of this document reflects CST’s commitment to enhancing the quality of telecom services both inside and outside buildings and facilities, recognizing its vital role in improving user experience and connectivity. Hence, supporting the access to digital services and business activities, especially with the growing demand for these services due to the ongoing digital transformation, which has made it possible to complete many services remotely, such as work, healthcare, education, and more.
