CST Participates in the “ Asia Tech Summit” in Singapore
The Communications, Space & Technology Commission (CST) participates in the Asia Tech x held in Singapore, with the attendance of leading tech figures and decision-makers to explore the future of digital technologies and accelerate the transition toward sustainable digital societies.
The summit, which attracts over 25,000 participants from around the world, aims to drive innovation and foster international collaboration in advanced technology sectors including artificial intelligence (AI), telecommunications, Space, and quantum computing, all in the context of the rapid transformations occurring in the global digital sector.
During the summit, Mr. Raed Alfayez, CST’s Technology Sector Deputy Governor, participated in a high-level ministerial roundtable titled “Digital Trust.” The session gathered government officials and telecom leaders from around the world, as it focused on enhancing governmental collaboration to ensure the safety and reliability of AI, by developing frameworks and policies that support safe innovation and establishing a reliable global digital ecosystem, taking in consideration the increasing risks associated with the rapid development of these technologies.
CST’s participation in the Summit emphasizes its pivotal role in enabling national tech companies and developing strategic partnerships that enhance Saudi Arabia’s position as a leading regional hub in telecommunications, technology, and Space. It also supports the Kingdom’s digital transformation journey and the growth of its digital economy in accordance with the Vision 2030 goals.
