Communications Sector Holds Introductory Workshop on Regulations for Establishing and Providing Communications Services in Real Estate

The communications sector, represented by the General Department of Infrastructure, held an introductory workshop on the regulations for establishing and providing communications services in real estate properties, aiming to raise the level of alignment and compliance with the requirements and procedures set out in the regulations by government agencies supervising various national sectors.

The workshop, which was attended by more than 100 people representing 60 government agencies, reviewed the most prominent requirements property owners -or those acting on their behalf- must follow for the purpose of establishing and providing communications services in properties belonging to them, and meeting the communications service requirements included in the Saudi Building Code, to ensure improved service quality inside and outside buildings and facilities and enable users to communicate and improve their experience.

This workshop comes to reinforce the Commission's role and its keenness to enable access to digital business and services, especially in light of the increasing demand for these services as a result of digital transformation and the adoption of remote completion of many services, such as work, medical, and educational services.
