In Partnership with the Ministry of Communications, CITC Holds Workshop with Cloud Computing Service Providers

The Communications and Information Technology Commission, in partnership with the Ministry of Communications and Information Technology, held a joint workshop with cloud computing service providers registered with the Commission, aiming to develop cloud computing services in the Kingdom.

During the workshop, the regulatory environment for cloud computing was discussed, along with an introductory overview of the upcoming updates to the cloud computing regulatory framework, and a discussion of the current gaps and possible improvements to the services provided in the cloud computing market, in addition to soliciting the views and suggestions of service providers regarding developing the cloud computing market and services, and the necessary enablement measures for their development.

The workshop comes as part of the Communications and Information Technology Commission's continuous work on developing cloud computing services in the Kingdom, and providing a suitable environment for attracting local and international investors in this vital field, and stimulating the adoption of related solutions and technologies, to advance the level of performance, productivity, and flexibility for government agencies and the private sector, and improve the quality of these services in the Kingdom.
