In Cooperation with the International Telecommunication Union.. Digital Regulations Academy Holds Training Program on Digital Regulation

The Digital Regulations Academy held a training program on "Digital Regulation," in cooperation with the International Telecommunication Union (ITU), aiming to raise the efficiency of national talent and develop their capabilities and skills in the field of digital regulations, enhance strategic partnerships to benefit from best practices and expertise, and elevate the regulatory sector to new horizons.

The program addressed introducing the main aspects and principles of digital regulation, alongside enhancing participants' understanding of the emerging challenges associated with digital transformation and how to deal with them, and creating a competitive environment for the private sector to flourish, and creating the best methodologies for participatory regulation. The program also addressed various topics such as data protection and reliability, infrastructure sharing, and the sandbox environment and its role in developing emerging technologies, in addition to measuring the maturity level of human capital in this field by holding tests for participants in the training program, numbering 46 trainees from 11 entities from the National Regulations Committee and telecom service providers in the Kingdom.

It is noted that this training program is the third this year at the national level under the title "Digital Regulation," and comes as part of a package of programs offered by the Digital Regulations Academy in partnership with leading international institutions in this field, seeking to achieve strategic targets in the sector, by elevating communications and technology services to new horizons, affirming the role of and enabling the Kingdom's transformation into a digital regulator at the fifth level, which is the highest according to the International Telecommunication Union's classification.
