Within the framework of cooperation between the National Anti-Corruption Commission "Nazaha" and the Communications and Information Technology Commission, and stemming from what the National Strategy for Protecting Integrity and Combating Corruption includes regarding the importance of raising public awareness against corruption, and promoting ethical behavior by developing religious conscience to encourage integrity and combat corruption, and developing a sense of citizenship and the importance of protecting public funds, facilities, and public property, a workshop titled (The Role of Communications and Information Technology in Combating Corruption and Promoting Integrity Values) was held on Monday 24/11/1434H, with the participation of representatives from the Commission, Nazaha, and telecom companies operating in the Kingdom, namely Saudi Telecom Group, Etihad Etisalat Company (Mobily), Saudi Mobile Telecommunications Company (Zain), Etihad Atheeb Telecommunication Company, and Integrated Telecom Company Limited.

The workshop addressed the role of communications and information technology means in combating corruption and promoting integrity values, focusing on four main themes: discussing methods of using communications and information technology in combating corruption, the most important integrity values that modern technology can help promote among members of society, using communications and information technology in awareness campaigns in the field of protecting integrity and combating corruption, in addition to proposals for partnership and cooperation between the National Anti-Corruption Commission and the communications and information technology sector. At the end of the workshop, the most important proposed recommendations reached by participants for benefiting from communications and information technology services and means for awareness in the field of protecting integrity and combating corruption were reviewed.
