CITC Governor: Localizing Communications and Information Technology Sector Jobs a Strategic Objective for the Commission in Line with Saudi Vision 2030

Under the patronage of His Excellency the Governor of the Communications and Information Technology Commission, Dr. Abdulaziz bin Salem Al-Ruwais, Ericsson launched a localization program for all levels of the company (leadership, middle management, recent graduates), aimed at empowering national talent in the information technology and communications sector, contributing to providing quality job opportunities for Saudi talent, and raising Saudization rates within the company while increasing Saudi capabilities there.

Dr. Al-Ruwais affirmed that localizing communications and information technology sector jobs is a strategic objective for the Commission in line with Saudi Vision 2030, thanking Ericsson for its initiative to localize jobs at all levels of the company.

In a related context, Ericsson Saudi Arabia CEO Mathias Johansson said: "The company is making efforts to localize jobs in line with Saudi Vision 2030, aiming to achieve a Saudization rate exceeding 65% by 2020 across all company levels," noting that the company has established the program to train and employ new graduates in the fields of electrical engineering, industrial engineering, and information technology, by employing 35 male and female graduates this year.
