CITC Governor: Saudi Vision 2030 a Comprehensive Development Plan

His Excellency Dr. Abdulaziz bin Salem Al-Ruwais, Governor of the Communications and Information Technology Commission, extended his congratulations to the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, to His Royal Highness the Crown Prince, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior, and to His Royal Highness the Deputy Crown Prince, Second Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Defense -may God preserve them-, on the occasion of the Council of Ministers' approval of Saudi Vision 2030, noting that this vision affirms the leadership's keenness -may God support it- to improve citizens' living standards by effectively investing various financial and natural resources, and making optimal use of the nation's capabilities.

Dr. Al-Ruwais praised the speech of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz and the profound meanings it carried, showing the extent of his keenness -may God support him- to serve the nation and its citizens, and to achieve comprehensive development for the country by investing in its sons and daughters and making use of the resources, wealth, and capabilities the Kingdom possesses for the nation's advancement and to achieve a better future for it and its children, while adhering to our Islamic faith and preserving the authenticity of our society and its constants.

Al-Ruwais said that this comprehensive and integrated vision presented by His Royal Highness Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz, Deputy Crown Prince, Second Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Defense, is the largest development plan in the Kingdom's history, and the largest national economic transformation plan in the world, including enhancing competitiveness in raising service quality and economic development, and attracting investors and investments by developing communications and information technology infrastructure, particularly high-speed broadband technologies, which contributes to maximizing the benefits of this sector's potential in serving citizens in their dealings, in addition to increasing the effectiveness of the performance of various government facilities and the business sector, as well as its contribution to raising the efficiency of the national economy.

Al-Ruwais affirmed the Commission's continued implementation of the communications and information technology sector development strategy to achieve its objectives in light of Saudi Vision 2030. He prayed to God to perpetuate our beloved country's glory, prosperity, and security, asking God to protect the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz, His Royal Highness the Crown Prince Prince Mohammed bin Nayef bin Abdulaziz, and His Royal Highness the Deputy Crown Prince Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz.
