Offering his thanks and appreciation for their field efforts, the Governor of the "Communications Commission" inspects a number of postal service provider branches.. and affirms commitment to taking preventive measures

His Excellency the Governor of the Communications and Information Technology Commission, Dr. Mohammed bin Saud Al-Tamimi, conducted an inspection tour of a number of postal service provider branches; to assess their readiness and the extent of their commitment to taking the preventive measures recommended by the Ministry of Health to prevent the spread of the novel coronavirus infection.

The tour included Saudi Post, where His Excellency Dr. Al-Tamimi met with the President of Saudi Post, His Excellency Eng. Naif Abanumai, and a number of the organization's employees, and was briefed on the measures taken by the organization in providing its services according to the highest requirements and precautionary measures taken to limit the spread of the novel coronavirus. His Excellency the Governor of the Communications Commission also visited a number of licensed postal company branches in the Kingdom, stressing the importance of the postal and logistics services sector and the necessity of it operating with the highest efficiency under these current circumstances.

During the tour, His Excellency the Governor thanked postal service workers for their distinguished efforts during this period, which is witnessing increasing demand for postal services; in light of the precautionary measures taken to prevent the spread of coronavirus infection, and he also urged them to continue adhering to preventive instructions, wishing everyone success in performing their duties.

The "Communications Commission" had, within its regulatory and supervisory jurisdiction over the postal sector, directed postal service providers to educate their staff and raise awareness of the importance of continuing to wash hands and use sanitizers, wear gloves and medical masks, and avoid shaking hands with applicants and beneficiaries upon receipt and delivery, and emphasizing the sterilization of tools used in the delivery process, stressing compliance with these measures, and that it will take regulatory action against all violators.

The "Communications Commission" also called on all beneficiaries to contact it via phone at 19966 if they detect any violations of these precautionary measures, and to report negative practices by service providers.
