Deputy Governor of the Communications, Space and Technology Commission for Communications inspects communications services provided to travelers via the Salwa border crossing in preparation for the World Cup event

His Excellency Eng. Abdullah bin Abdulrahman Al-Mubdel, Deputy Governor of the Commission for the Communications Sector, accompanied by a number of Commission officials, conducted a field inspection visit to the sites of mobile communications service providers operating at the Salwa border crossing between the Kingdom and the sisterly State of Qatar, to review the preparations of telecommunications companies licensed by the Commission, and their readiness to serve travelers and those wishing to attend World Cup events and enhance and enrich the fans' experience. During this visit, His Excellency was briefed on the technical and technological equipment for communications services, as well as the efforts made to expand networks at the crossing and enhance them with the latest communications technologies such as 5G.

His Excellency also praised the support of His Royal Highness the Amir of the Eastern Province and his directives - may God protect him - to all relevant government entities to cooperate and overcome any difficulties to serve visitors and travelers through the crossing, while affirming at the same time the importance of the integration and combination of efforts from everyone to provide high-quality communications services to travelers.
