The Communications, Space and Technology Commission signed a cooperation agreement with Software AG to develop digital capabilities and enhance the concept of entrepreneurship in the field of software and the Internet of Things, with the aim of enhancing the growth of the information technology sector and localizing its products, empowering technology companies and giving them an effective role in qualifying human cadres, and enhancing competition and innovation by providing applicable solutions and promising investment opportunities in information technology markets.
The agreement signing ceremony was attended by the Deputy Governor for Information Technology and Emerging Technologies, Eng. Raed Al-Fayez, and the Regional President of Software AG, Mamdouh Al-Olayan. The agreement aims to give Software AG, which works in the design and programming of specialized software, the opportunity to hold a program for students and university graduates in the field of software and the Internet of Things (IoT) titled (Future Disruptors 2023), contributing to supporting the talents participating in the program, by developing digital skills, encouraging the adoption of innovative solutions for IoT technology, and enhancing the concept of entrepreneurship in the field of information technology.
Through the program that Software AG will provide in the field of software specialized in the Internet of Things, training materials and trainers will be provided for participating students from university graduates, along with technical systems and solutions and translating their ideas into promising investment opportunities, leading to showcasing the winners' experiences and crowning them within the company's exhibition at the LEAP 2023 conference.
It is noted that the Communications, Space and Technology Commission always seeks to cooperate with various entities from the government and private sectors to follow up on developments in the field of technology, to maximize the benefit from technology, enhance innovation and entrepreneurship, qualify technical human cadres, and encourage the launch of distinctive and relevant initiatives.
