Communications, Space and Technology Commission launches the second edition of the "Sadd Al-Motasayed" campaign to raise awareness of fraudulent messages, calls, and links

The Communications, Space and Technology Commission launched the second edition of the "Sadd Al-Motasayed" (Counter Phishing) campaign to raise awareness of fraudulent messages, calls, and links, which can expose users' data to risk and theft by unknown persons. The Commission explained that the campaign aims to raise awareness of the types of fraudulent communication, encourage individuals not to share their sensitive data, and to report any fraudulent call or text message, or any fake and unknown website, and not to fall victim to fraudsters' methods, and to understand their evolving methods and how to counter and report them, noting that phishing exploits a user's lack of focus and excessive trust to achieve its goals, which must be countered.
The Commission also revealed, through the campaign, the types of fraud used, the most prominent of which are phone calls and text messages, alongside suspicious links, calling for reporting calls and text messages by sending a message to number 330330, while dedicating the "Saudi Filter" website for reporting suspicious links via the link
https://filter.sa/ar/. This campaign comes as part of the Commission's implementation of its role in protecting users in the sector to contribute to creating a safer communications and internet environment for users, by preventing access to websites that violate regulations in the Kingdom, which will significantly contribute to reducing fraud operations exploited by online phishers.
